Additional Info:
Was fishing on far side 80ft away, but a few fish were showing. I'd had 6 fish already in just 2 hrs. For a second time a fish rolled just 20ft away, this time it's tail even showed and it was a good barbel. The fishing had gone quite on the far bank, so I cast just upstream of the rolling fish and 4 minutes later -Wam!. It was a good scrap, but I've had harder fighting big uns. It's my new pb.
The fish was clearly exhausted and it took me 20 minutes on holding her, nose upstream, in well oxygenated water before she recovered enough to be left. 14mm halibut pellet did it again. |
